General Questions
how Do i sign up for activities?
Please refer to "Registration" page for instruction.
Why are there not as many activities as the summer programme?
During the winter holidays we are giving time to both staff and students to rest, recuperate and spend time with family and friends. The activities that we are offering are from our external partners.
Can my child sign up for Dover campus activities as we live closer to dover campus?
Students may only attend the Holiday Activity Programme at their home Campus.
how Do i know if My child's registration has gone through successfully?
Upon submission of your activities selection, parents will receive an automated email indicating the choices that has been selected. (Please check your spam inbox too) If you do not receive an email, your registration did not go through. Please re-submit your selections and ensure that there is no error message when you click "submit". For further assistance, please reach out to us at [email protected]
how many Activities can a student sign up per week?
Students can select up to 5 options per week online during the sign up duration. Students will be allocated to activities dependent on the sign up and spaces that are available. We suggest a maximum of 2 activities for the week.
What should i do if my child has signed up for various activities across the 3 weeks but did not get allocated to any.
We will endeavour to place students in their selected activities but we are envisaging a high demand for the programme, so please reach out to us at [email protected] if there has been an issue with the allocation.
How can I ensure that my children get allocated to activities at the same time as their siblings to minimise multiple drop offs and pick ups throughout the day?
Unfortunately there is no way to guarantee this, as there are limited Activity spaces available and our primary consideration when allocating is to provide children with their preferred choice of activity. To maximise the chance of siblings having an activity on the same day and time we recommend that, if desired, you select the same activity for the siblings or activities that run at the same times.
how are allocations being done?
Allocations are done by preference options and not first come first served. Every effort will be made to ensure an equitable distribution based on demand.
Does the school provide any sibling discount?
The cost of the programme has been priced at a competitive rate to allow for access for all students to participate.
can new families (Aug 2021 intake) join the Holiday activities programme?
Firstly, welcome to UWC East Community. We are exciting to have you and your family onboard the UWC East journey. Unfortunately, the Holiday Activities Programme will not be open to new families. We look forward to your participation in our regular Activities Programme in August 2021.
I missed the sign up deadline, can I still register my child?
You will not be able to register for the initial allocation phase. After allocation and payment date lines have been reached we will share spaces still available and you will be able to register for these. Please email [email protected] if you wish to request this service.
I missed the payment deadline, can I still keep my child's space?
The payment deadline is Wednesday 16th December, 12pm. If payment has not been made by that deadline all such places will be allocated to other students.
What is the refund policy?
In the event that the Holiday Activities Programme should be required to close, participants will be refunded for the activities not attended.
What were the factors that were considered when designing the Holiday Activity Programme content
Staffing (we are only using full time sports coaches and external instructors that have previously worked with our UWCSEA students and that have received the necessary vetting and training) and compliance with social distancing constraints have shaped our programme to a large degree.
Are meals catered for students who are attending full day activities?
Meals are not catered for student. Santai / Canteen will not be open during the winter camp programme. Students with full day activities (9am-3pm) are required to bring in their own lunch boxes and will be supervised in the canteen area during lunch time.
Can students stay back after camps to have a meal / snack in school?
No, all students must leave the campus upon dismissal. Santai / Canteen will be closed. The school's operation plans includes the number of pax on campus at any one point of time and students will have to leave campus to allow for the next batch of students to report in for their activities.
is there an option for parents to wait in school while my child is attending activities?
Unfortunately, parents are still unable to access the campus. Students will be picked up and dropped off at the main entrance to the campus.
Transport Questions
will there be bus transport service offered?
No, there is no bus transport service. Parents will have to make necessary transport arrangement for your child.
There is no transport or catering provision for the holiday programme - what was your rationale for these decisions?
We have no Activities running over a lunch period, students will either do their Activity in the morning or the afternoon. This along with an additional desire to reduce congregation of students over lunch led to a decision not to provide our usual F & B services.
will there be a bus to bring students to offsite venues from uwc east?
No, parents will have to make necessary transport arrangement for your child to and fro offsite venues.
Health & Safety Questions
Will my child have to wear a mask during activity?
We will follow all the social-distancing guidelines as defined by MOH and MOE/CPE. These regulations are continually being updated and we will follow the regulations that are in place at the time of the program.
what measures has the school taken to ensure student's safety?
UWC East has been working very closely with MOH and CPE to adhere to the safety guidelines. The school has put in place many safety measures to ensure that students are in a safe environment. Safe Entry check in for all students prior to entrance to the campus.

The Medical Centre will be open from 9am - 6pm during the camp hours. The UWCSEA Nursing Team will be on hand for any medical issues or concerns for our students.
